If Leonardo lived today and he was an ardent fan of The Big Lebowski like say, Coach Rainbolt, he might’ve painted the Last Supper like this.

Spacefem finds Facebook, “a depository of uninteresting people” (especially the baby-centric flavor of certain unnamed accounts). She has also found a way to deal with (i.e. block) some of the mind-numbing aspects of its “colorful” quizzes and applications economy.

For every child who has been potty trained there is a story from the parental unit(s). Some are funny, some are frustrating and some are mind boggling. Most of them are not done in triplicate at the exact same time. Maranda weaves the narrative.
(Correction– Maranda’s name was misspelled but is now correct. We apologize for the error. No trashiness was implied or intended.)
It sounds like trying to bob apples three at a time.

The picture of one man standing in front of a line of tanks in Tiananmen Square, 20 years ago, is inspiring and heartbreaking at the same time. Poppypundit found a picture of the same event from a different angle that illustrates the context of this unknown man’s bravery.
If you want to know more about the picture Wikipedia is a good place to start.

We at Douglas and Main love the Wichita Eagle. They have top notch reporters and without them we would be in the dark about many local events.
Could it be better? Yep. There is not enough local coverage. The local work is choked by a national chain that seeks to suck out every last dollar while pretending reality is a fog that will soon lift.
Then there is the whole thing about the fun times provided at no charge when you try to place an ad with the Eagle. Karen has lots more to say about that.

John B. is also scheduled to speak to the City Council on June 30th at 9:00 am.
