It’s a TV series from the BBC that is out on DVD. Rod says its worth the trouble to find it on Netflix:

I completely got caught up in it and had a marathon session, watching the first 45-minute episodes back-to-back. It’s a high school drama/comedy, but this is like no other show in the high school genre that I’ve seen before.
