Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you (Well, actually Jeff gives them to you) — Your Wichita Wingnuts.
blogging plus

Tony Adame is a “value added” blogger. Along with information and opinion he will add a movie trailer (like he does at the end of the post) or a scorching parody of a local pro golfer as he does in his opening monologue.
Will Bob Lutz let this go unavenged?
The Nuthouse resurrected
April 6th, 2009
The only Lutz who blogs is back with meditations on the Eagles (the group not the team), the Indians (the team not the motorcycle) and Minnesota fans. Oh yeah, and lots of inside stuff on the Wichita Wingnuts.

Baseball and the Klan
February 5th, 2009
Kevin Myles has a question about a baseball game played here in Wichita in 1925. It was between a an all-black minor league team named the Moravians and team sponsored by the local Ku Klux Klan.
The road yet traveled

Ellebee takes stock of some of the good, and the bad, in her life and wonders what is to come and if she can, or should, make something good happen.
Take cheer in these words my blogging friend, “Twelve days until catchers and pitchers report.”

Kinda like “Will It Float?”

Only for ball players. Jeff continues to keep an eye on off-season roster possibilities for our beloved Wingnuts.
A Wichita Treasure
September 5th, 2008
The brain of Brent Kemnitz. Even better it is still connected to a fully operational rest-of-Brent. Why is he a Wichita Treasure? A quote from the Treasure himself…
“Wichita State has a reputation over the last 30 years of being the best pitching school in America,” he said. “During those 30 years, we’ve had 68 guys [...]
Another great thing about baseball
August 23rd, 2008
It looks easy, but its not; and watching people that think they can play, when they can’t? Priceless. Jeff describes just such a moment at the last Wingnut home stand.
And Gilmore Girls? A fine show with sharp dialogue and enough pop culture references to fill Wikipedia. But it lost the touch somewhere in the third [...]
Good insider stuff

Jeff has a special “share the love” edition of The Nuthouse.
Two Wingnuts declare their passion for Pat Mahomes, the American Association playoffs make everyone feel a little light headed and the Chinese Olympic team employs the cultural symbol for “love you too” after a U.S. player enthusiastically greets the Chinese catcher.
End of season challenge
August 13th, 2008
The NBC is fun but it is almost over. Rember the Wingnuts? They still have six home games left. Jeff wants to know if you wil be there?
And yes, I do plan to go. I heart the Nuthouse.
Back from the brink
August 12th, 2008
My love for the Nuthouse is sorely tested by Jeff’s profession of like for Kid Rock. But all is forgiven when he turns to the insidery goodness of late-night announcing and NBC snoring champions.
Link love from the Nuthouse
August 9th, 2008
Jeff liked the fact I linked to him but I need to make a correction. I have been a baseball fan since the cap and the mitt in my crib in 1956. That’s why I like the Nuthouse. It’s obviously written by someone who likes baseball. And he has a sense of humor.
Nuthouse news

I’m hooked. I love baseball. I like the behind the scenes stuff. Jeff’s not trying to make himself look good, he’s trying to give us a sense of what its like in his world.
Of course, if he is trying to make himself look good his writing needs work.
“Country Man” or “Lean Like a Cholo”?
August 4th, 2008
Baseball question: as you walk up to the plate to take your cuts, which one would you prefer to hear? Jeff Lutz wants your opinion. Bonus question: Jeff also wants to know what a cholo is. I can’t wait to see the comments that will incite.
Myself I would prefer Hammer Time. That Stanley Burrell is [...]
Another NBC tournament post
August 4th, 2008
J. Long gets his first taste of baseball on Sycamore and has the same reaction most newcomers, including me, have when they see the field for the first time,
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a field with an AstroTurf infield and natural grass outfield. Not eye candy by any means, but it does standout. I’m assuming uniqueness [...]
Now announcing for the NBC tournament…. at 12:30 a.m.

Jeff Lutz. Lutz, announcing. And it’s voluntary!
If you like baseball go Nuts
July 29th, 2008
Jeff Lutz’s blog about his adventures with the Wingnuts is fun to read. When he isn’t provoking Saint’s Nation (all two of them) he is laying odds on the actual start time of the game on rainy evenings.
We won’t mention the other Lutz’s blogging habits.
