The talking heads on cable news are full of advice for politicians. Stir up your base. Attack your opponent’s strength. Harangue him or her with endless, negative advertisements. You know, business as usual. But consider this column advice for voters, not for the people seeking votes. These ideas come about as close as possible to one-size-fits-all.
