Soon to be household names in Wichita

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you (Well, actually Jeff gives them to you) — Your Wichita Wingnuts.
The Nuthouse resurrected
April 6th, 2009
The only Lutz who blogs is back with meditations on the Eagles (the group not the team), the Indians (the team not the motorcycle) and Minnesota fans. Oh yeah, and lots of inside stuff on the Wichita Wingnuts.
Kinda like “Will It Float?”

Only for ball players. Jeff continues to keep an eye on off-season roster possibilities for our beloved Wingnuts.
While the Wingnuts rewind
September 5th, 2008
Jeff Lutz continues to crank out The Nuthouse. Right now he’s working his way through the roster with an evaluation of the player’s season and the mathmatical possibility of their return for another spin with the Wingnuts. Yes, it is Pun Friday.
Another great thing about baseball

It looks easy, but its not; and watching people that think they can play, when they can’t? Priceless. Jeff describes just such a moment at the last Wingnut home stand.
And Gilmore Girls? A fine show with sharp dialogue and enough pop culture references to fill Wikipedia. But it lost the touch somewhere in the third [...]
Good insider stuff

Jeff has a special “share the love” edition of The Nuthouse.
Two Wingnuts declare their passion for Pat Mahomes, the American Association playoffs make everyone feel a little light headed and the Chinese Olympic team employs the cultural symbol for “love you too” after a U.S. player enthusiastically greets the Chinese catcher.
New Olympic sport

It’s kinda like baseball but you put runners on base to start an inning and then choose where you want to start your batting order.
This is why international decision-making bodies are held in such warm regard through out the world.
This would be as silly as ending a basketball game with a free throw contest or [...]
Blogger fight!
August 15th, 2008
Ok, not a fight. But it has potential if somebody will just let their emotions take over.
RedSwann goes to the Black Crowes concert at the Cotillion and LOVES it. She mentions a not-so-positive review in the online Eagle but refuses to link to it because it is so, “not worth the effort”.
But that’s no music [...]
Stalking musically

Perhaps I shouldn’t use that word to describe Jeff’s fascination with Mike Hargrove.
If you missed the first U.S. olympic baseball game he has a recap of the end of that game.
End of season challenge

The NBC is fun but it is almost over. Rember the Wingnuts? They still have six home games left. Jeff wants to know if you wil be there?
And yes, I do plan to go. I heart the Nuthouse.
Back from the brink

My love for the Nuthouse is sorely tested by Jeff’s profession of like for Kid Rock. But all is forgiven when he turns to the insidery goodness of late-night announcing and NBC snoring champions.
Link love from the Nuthouse
August 9th, 2008
Jeff liked the fact I linked to him but I need to make a correction. I have been a baseball fan since the cap and the mitt in my crib in 1956. That’s why I like the Nuthouse. It’s obviously written by someone who likes baseball. And he has a sense of humor.

I’m hooked. I love baseball. I like the behind the scenes stuff. Jeff’s not trying to make himself look good, he’s trying to give us a sense of what its like in his world.
Of course, if he is trying to make himself look good his writing needs work.
